Izzy Goodkind: I Didn't Want Nick Viall as the Bachelor

Viall, a two-time Bachelorette runner-up who dated Jen Saviano on Paradise season 3 over the summer, was announced as the new Bachelor on August 30. Goodkind, who competed for Ben Higgins' affections on The Bachelor season 20 earlier this year, can be counted among the many people who assumed that The Bachelorette season 12's Luke Pell would land the coveted gig instead.
"You should have seen my face when they pulled [Nick] out to announce it," Goodkind, 25, tells Us. "When I went onto Ben's season, they announced Nick first as [the Bachelor on After Paradise] kind of like a joke, and I remember I started crying. I called my mom like, 'I don't want to do it. I don't want to be on The Bachelor if Nick's the Bachelor.' So when they brought him out again [this year], I said, 'Oh, this has to be a joke.'"

"I don't think sex is a taboo thing," Viall tells PEOPLE exclusively in this week's issue. The next Bachelor famously revealed on national television that he had slept with Bachelorette Andi Dorfman while on her season, and his intimate relationship with Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe was a major story line on hers.
Says Viall: "I'm an open book so I don't mind the fact that it's out there. People are well aware of the fact that Andi and I slept together, as well Kaitlyn and I, but I slept with two women that at the time I felt deeply for and thought there was a good chance I could end up with."
The frustrating part, says the 35-year-old entrepreneur, "is that people can't be objective. By a lot of people's opinions, I'm slutty or a man whore simply because of those two things. It's a little silly. I'm no saint, but that's not who I am."
However, when it comes to spilling the beans about his sexual past with Dorfman live on After the Final Rose in 2014, "I regret that in the sense that it unnecessarily and unfairly caused Andi to get a lot of flack. I wasn't trying to accomplish that. Women have as much right as men to do whatever they want behind closed doors."

Are Grant & Lace Engaged After 'Bachelor In Paradise'?

Grant became the first person to drop the L word during Bachelor in Paradise Season 3 (well, if you ignore Ashley) and while Lace didn't say it back, she said she was falling for him too when talking to the cameras. Since Chris Harrison promised multiple proposals, Grant and Lace could become engaged on Bachelor in Paradise. However, before you start envisioning Grant down on one knee, previews for the Aug. 23 episode show Lace contemplating breaking up with Grant. Izzy said anything can happen in Paradise during the Aug. 22 episode, which she proved when her interest in Brett compromised her relationship with Vinny, so will this other power couple break up or will Grant and Lace end up engaged?
Right off the bat, I was unsure of how healthy Grant and Lace's relationship was. Grant was more interested in Lace from the get-go and his emotions in the Season 3 premiere were confusing since he simultaneously seemed intrigued by and wary of her. The firefighter from JoJo's season of The Bachelorette was slightly insulting (but not wholly inaccurate) by saying that Lace was the "crazy" one of Ben's season of The Bachelor. Lace's first night in Paradise was dominated by Chad, but after she denied Chad and he was sent home by Chris for being too aggressive, Lace made a strategic move by hitting up the bedroom with Grant. While I'm not saying she wasn't genuinely interested in Grant, she stated in her camera interviews that she needed to make a big move to secure herself a rose — and secure herself a rose she did.
Since then Lace and Grant have evolved into one of the sweetest — and possibly most functional — couples in Paradise. Yet, that might not last much longer if the Aug. 23 preview is to be believed. While Izzy was lured from domestic bliss with Vinny because of a new arrival, it looks like Lace isn't necessarily going to feel tempted by another man when it comes to her relationship with Grant — she's just unsure if she's willing to commit on the same level that Grant is. In the preview for Aug. 23, she tearfully says on camera that she's not seeing them click and even gets frustrated with Grant's admission of love, meanly claiming that he repeats himself a lot.
There's another upcoming moment between these two that also makes me concerned for their future together. In the original Bachelor in Paradise Season 3 promo, Lace was shown saying to Grant, "Have fun finding love with someone else" to which he replies, "I just told you I love you." She claims in that moment that now she looks like a "b*tch," which could indicate that she isn't ready or willing to say "I love you" back to Grant.

In an exclusive sneak peek at Friday's Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars, the Bachelor alum – who met boyfriend Cody Sattler on Bachelor in Paradise in 2014 is livid – when Sattler exposes her history of infidelity to the other couples.
When Sattler, 29, explains why he has trust issues with Money, 35, it comes out that she cheated – but not on him. She acknowledges stepping out "on a previous relationship – and he's cheated too."
Sattler adds, "She was married."
For Money, this much disclosure is crossing the line (which, ahem, is pretty much the entire reason Marriage Boot Camp exists, no?), and they exit the group setting and get into a physical altercation.
In an interview, Money angrily tells Sattler: "I said, 'Please do not bring up my ex-husband and my daughter.' I said, 'Promise me.' "
Sattler's revelation clearly reignites underlying trust issues for the couple – who've been up and down since they met on BiP, dated for six months before announcing their split on social media in December 2014 and apparently rekindled their relationship a few months later – and Money tries to slam the door on Sattler before he grabs her by the shoulders as she strikes him with her knee and yells, "I hate you!"

But online trolls seem bent on disrupting their post-show bliss.
Instagram users have been commenting on Bushnell's personal Instagram page, asking probing questions about her appearance, her weight, and her workout routine. They claim that she is too skinny, and therefore they have permission to berate her.
Of course, it's not okay. So, Higgins tried to jump in and help the situation. But it didn't really work out.
He shared this photo of Bushnell flexing at the dinner table and captioned it, “She's mine. Straight Flexin. #fitgirl.”
Us Weekly noticed Bushnell's response before it got lost in the stream of a thousand more comments. Bushnell was immediately aware of the fact that trolls would comment on her weight, as they have in the past.

Wow, that was intense. Just watching it was intense. And I was there when it all went down!. Just ... Chad. When was the last time that Chris Harrison had to step in like that? I think the tension with Chad had just reached a point where Chris felt he had to step in and help provide some perspective. I'm grateful to Chris that he was able to do that – for the guys and for me.
And can we talk about Evan and his shirt? What really happened between Chad and Evan on the group date? Did Evan really try to push Chad and that's what provoked Chad to rip his shirt? Would Evan actually do something like that? Someone needs to slow down that footage and figure out what really went down!
I thought for sure that having a pool party instead of a cocktail party would just help ease the mood and lesson the stress surrounding Chad and the guys. And that worked. Until it didn't. Seeing Chad basically intimidate Derek was hard to watch. And did you see all the guys standing in the living room behind Derek??? So awkward! Maybe I shouldn't have asked Derek about Chad, but after Chad's behavior the other day on the group date, I needed more information.
This rose ceremony was intense. I could feel it. So much attention and time had been taken up by Chad and all the drama surrounding Chad that I really needed to refocus and make sure I was moving the right relationships forward. Nick, Christian and Ali are all

Ben Higgins running for the Colorado House of Representatives? The former “Bachelor” is exploring a possible bid in Denver for a seat in the state legislature. Higgins, who gave Lauren B. (Bushnell) the final rose in last season’s “Bachelor,” has also been consulting with local politicians about running against the incumbent, Democrat Dan Pabon. Rep. Pabon’s political future came to a screeching halt in March when he was arrested in Denver on St. Patrick’s Day for suspicion of driving under the influence. The politician, who failed a field sobriety test, ironically sponsored a drunk driving bill that has those convicted of the crime appearing before a victim impact panel.
While Republicans in the 4th District already drafted a man named Willie Pinkston to oppose Rep. Pabon, the local businessman said he would drop out of the race to make way for Higgins to run. Pinkston told The Colorado Independent that he fully supports Higgins, who he believes will benefit from his “name recognition.” Higgins, who is involved in various charities, said in a statement, “Whatever lies ahead, love, grace, and hope are ideals that guide my life. I will take them with me into my next adventure.”

Why Some ‘Bachelorette’ Viewers Are Furious That Jake Pavelka Was in the Premiere

Monday night’s premiere of “The Bachelorette” was mostly business as usual, as the show’s new star JoJo Fletcher greeted 26 suitors who will compete to win her love. Immediately, fans started guessing: Who was the mystery guy? Chad, JoJo’s ex-boyfriend who tried to start trouble when she was on “The Bachelor” last season? Ben Higgins, the bachelor who dumped JoJo and proposed to the other finalist? During the premiere, the man’s identity was finally revealed — and for some viewers, it was worse than they ever could have imagined.
You may be thinking, what’s the deal with this “Jake Pavelka” guy? Why did social media freak out when he suddenly appeared, whisking JoJo away for a private talk? (For the record, even though it was edited to look like Jake might want to swoop in and steal JoJo away, it turns out they’re longtime family friends, and he was just there to offer her advice about looking for love on reality TV.)
For those unfamiliar, Jake Pavelka, 38, is one of the more despised former “Bachelor” stars in the show’s history. He appeared as a contestant in “The Bachelorette” in summer 2009 as one of Jillian Harris’s suitors, though he was eliminated fairly early. Yet in January 2010, ABC made him the star of the next “Bachelor.”
The season was a low point, as Jake proposed to Vienna Girardi, known as the season’s villain — though most of the controversy occurred after the episodes ended. Mere weeks later, Jake and Vienna’s relationship quickly imploded and the two split. What followed was the most explosive break-up in franchise history, as the ex-couple proceeded to fire back and forth at each other in the tabloids. (Vienna was on the cover of Star calling Jake a “monster.” In return, Jake told Us Weekly she cheated on him.)
But the truly horrifying moments came when ABC decided to cash in on all this drama and bring the pair back for a special segment, where they could air all their grievances on camera. During the taping, things between Jake and Vienna got so ugly that the show was forced to issue a statement before the episode even aired, as rumors surfaced about a possibly dangerous situation. A show rep admitted that while Jake and Vienna’s sitdown was “emotionally charged,” no one was “ever physically in harm’s way, nor was anyone ever threatened with physical violence.”

The Bachelorette season 5 contestant and his wife Emily are expecting their first child, a son, in early November, the couple tell PEOPLE exclusively.
“For our family, we did something a bit more special, but for our close friends, we’ve just been blindsiding them in conversation,” Stagliano, 32, says of how he and Emily — whom he calls “insanely loving and nurturing” — have been breaking the news to their loved ones. “And the reactions are so great.”
The couple, who are celebrating two years of marriage Tuesday, had a timeline in mind for when they wanted to conceive — thanks to his twin brother Stephen Stagliano‘s growing family with former Bachelorette DeAnna Pappas Stagliano.
“We knew that we wanted to wait a tiny bit after we got married,” says Stagliano, who now works as a TV writer. “As soon as we got to hold [our niece] Addison, that gave us a little bit of baby fever.”
“[Their son] Austin was born in March and our little guy will be here in early November, so they’ll be close in age,” adds Emily, 31, who also admits to being a “type-A planner.”

The Bachelor alum and Dancing With the Stars winner took to social media to share the first photo of her baby boy after giving birth to him on Wednesday. She shared the sweet black and white photo from the hospital room, writing, "Cayson Jack. 5-18-16. Welcome to the world, little one."
E! News exclusively confirmed Cayson's birth on May 18, weighing in a 8lbs and 12oz. He is the third child for Melissa and her husband, Tye Strickland, joining big sister Ava Grace, born in 2011, and brother Beckett Thomas who was born in 2014.
In fact, Melissa chatted with us a few months before giving birth and said practice from her first two children made her less worried about everything this time around.
"I am much more relaxed going in," she told us at the time. "We're at the very end of this pregnancy and my friends keep laughing at me because we don't even have a nursery. I feel so unprepared, but at the same time, having gone through this twice before, I know the things you need with a newborn…I've learned the things to not stress about."
Of course this bodes the question: Can we expect more little ones in the future?
"I say we're good to go, but my husband hasn't taken care of that permanently yet. So you can never say never," she answered. "As of now, I feel like we're going to be complete when he comes. We're going to be outnumbered, which is already a scary thing!"

"We all have red flags in our relationships that we don't see," says Dorfman. "Looking back and seeing those red flags was very cathartic for me. I realized our relationship wasn't the highlight of my life like I thought it was. So I took it off the pedestal and realized all was not lost."
Once she did, "I was disgusted with myself for what I put up with," says Dorfman. "I was a strong, independent woman and I allowed [Josh] to be [emotionally abusive]. Now, I know I don't want someone jealous or controlling. I know what won't make me happy in [the future]."
Moving on, "I've let go of the hatred and the bitter feelings," says Dorfman. "But I wasted my first engagement and that will always stick with me."
Still, "I survived," she says. "It hasn't been the easiest ride, but I'm happy."

The good news? Chris was probably joking. The bad news? This is a reality we may have to face eventually if the show outlives Chris's career!

"Marrying this babe today," Spivey wrote on Instagram ahead of the nuptials. "Can't believe the day is finally here!"
Guests sipped on signature cocktails, named after the bride and groom, and the bridal party wore boutonnieres with bay leaf, gilded Italian ruscus, white ranunculus and blueberry.

While the mamas-to-be are both due in July, just one week apart, they discovered that they were expecting in very different ways.
"I thought it’d happen right away, since I’d spent my whole life trying not to get pregnant. After two months of trying, I had a chemical pregnancy [a very early miscarriage], which was a huge disappointment," Ali reveals. "Afterward, I just wanted a baby so badly—nothing about that time was romantic. When I finally got a positive result, I jumped around the house, listening to Justin Bieber’s 'Baby.'"
For Catherine and her hubby, Sean Lowe, the pregnancy wasn't planned.
"We weren’t really trying. One day I felt a little sick, so I asked Sean to pick up a pregnancy test. Whenever I feel weird, I take one—and they’re always negative. After I peed on the stick, I climbed into bed without even checking it," she recalls. "Sean asked if he could. When he walked out of the bathroom, he said, 'Baby, it’s negative,' and I was like, 'Yeah, I thought so.' Then he said, 'And by negative, I mean positive.' I had to look at the test myself, because I’d never seen a positive before. Then we both looked at each other and had no idea what to do or say. Finally, I said, 'Want to watch TV?' We sat in bed in silence for the rest of the night, watching Family Guy. Inside, I was thinking, Oh, crap, we’ve got to be adults now."
Ali found out that she's having a girl with fiance Kevin Manno, and the couple couldn't be more thrilled. Catherine and Sean are waiting to find out the gender.
"We just want a healthy baby. It doesn’t matter what it is, but we’re both convinced it’s a boy," Lowe declares.

According to a report by ABC 7 Chicago, Storm was piloting an ultralight glider-like three-wheeled aircraft known as Airborne XT-912 equipped with a rear engine before it dived on 120th St. near Hawthorne Municipal airport around noon last Monday.
An employee working at nearby Best Drilling and Pump, Inc. witnessed how the plane erratically flew before finally crashing into the ground.
"All of a sudden, my partner started yelling, 'Watch out, there's a plane coming! And it looked like the plane veered up, lost control and hit a couple feet away from the truck, a couple feet away from us," Byron Mayes explained as quoted by Entertainment Online.
Following her untimely death on Monday, Storm's friends have started paying tribute to her passing starting Tuesday on social media.
